“A portrait of my son, once a week, every week, in 2014.”

Forrest doing what Forrest does best- unpacking his lunch before we even leave the house.

I am excited to be joining in with Jodi’s project this year. I read all about this project in the final throughs of my pregnancy, followed it all of last year on various blogs and kept thinking it would be so lovely to take part. After nearly completing my 12 month project this year, I want to challenge myself a little bit further, taking one image a week. It is my hope to capture candid, truthful moments. The final weeks of Forrest’s final fleeting months of  babyhood and how he welcomes toddlerhood in the months to come . This will be a welcome change from the more formal portraits from last year’s project which have become pretty difficult to take, thanks to his ever growing size and love of crawling. I imagine that I will learn a lot about my camera in the coming year as I am hoping to teach myself more about manual photography this year. I expect I will learn even more about my son and hopefully myself as his mum.

Fifty two weeks, fifty two different challenges. Here we go!
